Looking Back to this Amazing Decade!

A new year, a new decade. As I look forward to making the most of my horizons ahead by being open to possibilities, by saying yes to opportunity more than no, nurturing wanderlust, embracing travel and its transformative magic. I'm grateful to this decade in so many ways:

I am so grateful that I have an amazing family- not only blood but also my group of friends, teachers, some strangers who I met and they have changed my life forever, by showering me with all the love and happiness, I'm grateful to each and every one of you- the friends from my school to the university today. I am extremely grateful to my school, college and university, because they aren't just institutions, they have blessed me with a beautiful family who I can run upto any day, any moment. With the accident that happended three years back, I'm grateful that I wasn't hurt much, I am able and good health is what I am grateful for.

As I look back I'm so proud of long way I've come across. From passing out school to high-school to the entering the most reputed colleges and graduating and being a part of the university as prestigious as Tribhuvan University, I know I have thousands miles to go but as of now, I am grateful to all my teachers and my school,my colleges that you've helped me transform into a person I am today.

I am grateful that i traveled at least 10 new places and look forward to now #visitNepal2020.

I am forever grateful to my superhero, my parents, my bffs, for always being there. But I'm even more grateful towards my criticizers as they are the one who really pushed me out of my comfort zone.

From a girl who literally trembeled while holding a mic, who used to just sing and dance as she was afraid that the ball in the basketball court would hit her, this decade as transformed me as a fierce speaker who hosted almost every program at her college, and turned as sports enthusiast.

I am grateful to each and every moment I've lived this decade and if I was given a chance, I would live that time again, in the same way, without any changes, the world where we didnt have cellphones and mobile phones but had our friends number memorized by heart and talked to each other for hours, staying idle at the same place, a world where birthdays weren't about who you would celebrate it with and where you would go celebrate but distribute chocolates in the outdress amongst the friends and give the biggest chocoates to the best friends, the time when we played with ludo, chess and snakes and ladder cutt off our friends's points, not the relationship.

I know many of us aren't going to read it all, but well it will remind me in 10years about what I felt 10 years back.

As we move forward to 2020, I wish that #visitNepal2020 will be the greatest hit, the government's initiation for good projects may workout, may no girl be raped and may we learn to embrace that acid attack isn't the solution if any person rejects your proposal, may no journalist be killed and may no politician be corrupt. May we shine bright as Nepali and may the youths come back home after they gain the skills and knowledge to make Nepal, may we grow to become a person with good heart and not just pretty face, may we be fit and healthy, may we be prospered with health and happiness and not wealth, may we gain knowledge and wisdom and not degrees, may we not speak but also act, may we love and care for each other and not just flirt.

May 2020 bring all of us not what we wish for but what we truly deserve.

Happy New Year, Happy New Decade!

And here's to my biggest achievement of this decade, a proud graduate!
